Jenny Lee Farris, 52, of Hord, Illinois passed away at 9:41 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at her home in rural Hord.
Jenny was born on December 11, 1970 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Richard Leon and Sylvia (Schoonover) Farris. She had obtained an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. She had most recently been working as a bartender/waitress for Gatsby’s Gaming. Jenny was her own person and loved to do things others might not. She was an avid collector of Harley Davidson memorabilia, and loved to ride motorcycles as well. Jenny was very creative and loved to restore any old items she could find. She was a painter and a music fan. Jenny never met a stranger and was always willing to strike up a conversation. She was always helping out someone who needed guidance and motivation to get on their feet and so she quickly became “mom” to most young adults around. She was always happy to host dinners at her home too, she couldn’t resist showing off her skills in the kitchen. Her greatest passion was her legacy though. She loved and welcomed all little children to join in on the fun with grandma which usually involved being outside and getting dirty.
Jenny is survived by her daughter: Rikki Farris (Stephen Felty) of Hord; 4 grandchildren: Ryker, Olivia, Fynlee, and Klaire. She is also survived by her farther: Richard Leon Farris of Louisville; 2 brothers: Jason (Shay) Farris of Clay City, Rick Barber of Louisville; 2 sisters: Kelly (Mike) Hills of Mattoon, Illinois, Michelle (Matt) King of Newburgh, Indiana; and her Very Best Friend since childhood Danny Cornwell of Louisville, Illinois.
