Sandra H. Moore (63) of Newton

Sandra Helen “Sandy” Moore, age 63, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 11:35 PM Monday, April 17, 2023, at her home.    

Visitation will be held 4:00 to 6:00 PM Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. A service celebrating her life will be held following the visitation, with Keith Kepley officiating. Following the visitation and service the family would like to invite friends to the Knights of Columbus in Newton, for a reception. Sandra Helen “Sandy” was born on October 24, 1959, in Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of Albert Dean and Bernice (Fehrenbacher) Klingler. She graduated from Clay City High School with the class of 1977. Sandy was a hard worker, loved helping others and was always willing to lend a hand. Many know her from her employment at UTA, and most notable for the time spent working at Vic’s in Wendelin, Illinois. Sandy enjoyed playing poker, euchre, dice, and darts. She was known to play a very competitive game of ping pong. Her legacy and greatest joy was being a grandmother to her grandchildren, that she was so proud of.

Sandy is survived by: Father - Dean Klingler of Noble, Illinois; Daughters – Jennifer Carson of Newton, Illinois; and Melissa Moore of Hidalgo, Illinois; Grandchildren - Andrew Moore, Carder Reich, Zachary Roach, Audrie Reich, Jorjia Reich; and Eleanor Snell; Siblings - Rick “Woody” Klingler of Clay City, Illinois; Debbie (Rick) Reed of Ft. Myers, Florida; Cindy (Dale) Henson of Fora, Illinois; and Randy “Wilb” Klingler of Clay City, Illinois. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

Sandy was preceded in death by her mother and loving companion Afshin Tabrizi.
