Mary Olga Lehnartz, 92, of St. Peters, Missouri, previously of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 7.

She was born on February 22, 1931 to Harry and Mary Bodnar (Stempak) in Pittsburgh, PA. Born of four siblings, Mary was the youngest of brothers George, and John, and sister Helen all of whom preceded her in death. Mary was married to Brydon Garrett Lehnartz in Kelly AFB, Texas, 1957. Traveling for the USAF they were stationed in San Antonio, TX, as well as Helsinki, Finland, and Belgrade, Yugoslavia, and finally Dayton, Ohio.

Mary and Brydon had 4 children together; daughters Debbie Wagy, Barbara Goeckner, Christine Lehnartz and preceded in death by their son Garrett Paul Lehnartz. She was preceded in death by her husband 38 years prior to her passing.

Debbie and Grant Wagy granted two grandchildren and a total of four great grandchildren to Mary. Nicole (Ryan) Blunt and their two children Ashton and Beau. Kristen Wagy with children Dylan and Cole.

Barbara and Terry Goeckner granted two grandchildren and a total of four great grandchildren to Mary. Angela (Travis) Box and their three children Nat, Jolene, and Springer. Stepahnie (Joe) Roberts and their child Annalee.

Christine Lehnartz granted two grandchildren to Mary. Brydon who preceded her in death and Casey.

Mary loved flowers and always had them around the home. She also loved cooking, having her very own beloved cookie recipe. More than anything she loved her family with whom she was surrounded by as she passed peacefully in her sleep.
