Danilo Dean "Donny" Wilson (49) of Olney formerly of Newton

Danilo Dean “Donny” Wilson, age 49, of Olney, Illinois, and formerly of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 8:30 AM - Thursday, April 6, 2023, at his home.   

Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM - Wednesday, April 12, 2023, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  A service celebrating Donny’s life will be held following the visitation at 7:00 PM.  In loving memory of Donny, memorials may be made to the family.  

Danilo Dean, better known as “Donny” was born on December 1, 1973, in Mesa, Arizona, the son of Larry and Linda (Shumway) Wilson.  He grew up in Newton and attended school in Jasper County.

Donny currently worked at Quad Graphics in Effingham, where he had been employed for the last 5 years.  He enjoyed woodworking and martial arts.  He was very artistic and was “jack of all trades and a master of none.”

Donny is survived by: Daughters – Kaitlyn and Marisa both of Olney, Illinois, Grandchildren – Avery and Maverick, Brothers – Jamie (wife Sharon) Wilson of Terre Haute, Indiana and Mat (wife Paula) Wilson of Newton, Illinois

Donny was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
