Christopher Eskew (52) of Effingham

Christopher Eskew 52 years old, of Effingham, Illinois went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ peacefully early on Saturday morning April 1, 2023, at 12:08 AM at Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri after being a patient for short time.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday April 8, 2023, at the Church of Christ, Effingham, Illinois, with the Rev. Tom McLemore and Brother Curtis Graves officiating. A visitation will be held at the church for family and friends from 10:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Christian burial rites will follow at the Mount Moriah Cemetery, rural St. Elmo, Illinois.

Christopher Vernon Eskew was born into the Christian family of Vernon and Carol Senior-Scroggins Eskew on July 18,1970, at St. Anthony Hospital in Effingham, Illinois. He graduated from Effingham High School. Chris furthered his education at Eastern Illinois University and graduated with a BS in secondary education. He married Phyllis Eileen Hubbert on October 25, 1997. Chris was employed by Petty Printing in the bindery room for several years until his health deteriorated.

Chris is survived by his wife Phyllis, Son: Anthony Scott Eskew, Daughter: Cheyenne Summer Eskew and fiancé Gage Russel Allen all of Effingham, Illinois. 3-Brothers: David (wife Peggy) Eskew of Montrose, Illinois, Michael (wife, Connie) and Steven (wife, Kelly) Eskew both of Effingham, Illinois; and a special companion Reko, who would acompany Chris on his travels.

Chris was preceded by his parents.
