Paula M. Jones, 66, of Strasburg, IL, passed away at 3:52 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2023 in Heartland Senior Living, Neoga, IL.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 26, 2023 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Strasburg, IL. Casual attire is requested. A private family burial will be held in Grace Cemetery, Strasburg, IL. Memorials may be given to Trinity Lutheran School or E.A.R.S./Effingham Animal Rescue Sanctuary.
Paula was born on June 24, 1956 in Shelbyville, IL, the daughter of Paul and Marie (Duling) Boyer. She graduated from Stew-Stras High School in the Class of 1974. Paula worked at CASS’ and then Krile Auction Service both in Strasburg, IL. She enjoyed being outdoors, watching truck and tractor pulls and caring for her lovable dog, “Pete”.
She is survived by her daughters, Elizabeth Fitzgerald (Kenneth) of Effingham, IL and Nikki Daniels (Christopher) of Strasburg, IL; son, Jordan Jones (Breanne) of Wakefield, IL; sisters, Nancy Boyer of Strasburg, IL, Sue McIntyre (Gene) of Wilmington, NC, Linda Hubner (Jacques) of Ponte Vedra Beach, FL; Julia Bryan (Pat) of Evanston, IL and Marillee Piot (Jim) of Frisco, TX; brother, David Boyer (Diane) of Strasburg, IL; grandchildren, Paul Smith, Austin Smith, Wyatt Smith, Kenlee Fitzgerald and Kendyl Fitzgerald all of Effingham, IL and Marisa and Carrah Daniels both of Strasburg, IL; one great grandson, Aiden Smith; and MANY nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill Boyer, John Boyer, Joseph Boyer and Allen Boyer; and nephew, David Gans.
