Amber Myers (52) of Altamont

Amber Myers, 52, of Altamont died at 5:35 a.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Willowbrook Memory Care of Effingham.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 24, 2023 at the First Baptist Church, Altamont with Pastor Bill Weaver officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery, Altamont. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday and for one hour prior to service time all at the church. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Dementia Research. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.

Amber was born on Wednesday, July 8, 1970 in Flora, IL to Dan and Brenda (Dawkins) McDonald. She married Wesley Myers on May 24, 2005. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Altamont. She was a nurse at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Effingham.

She is survived by her husband of over 17 years, Wesley Myers of Altamont; parents, Dan McDonald of Altamont and Brenda McDonald of Altamont; sons, Austin (Kyleigh) Goldstein, Keesler AFB Mississippi, Jacob Louis (Kaytie) Goldstein, Shepard AFB Texas and Wyatt Myers of Altamont; daughters, Courtney (Quinton) Cunningham of Clarksville, TN, Leah Goldstein of Effingham, and McKenzie Goldstein of Altamont; 6 grandchildren, Silas, Harper, Wally, Emersyn, Ella and Hazel.
