Benjamin Glenn (84) of rural St. Elmo

Benjamin V. Glenn, Sr. 84, of rural St. Elmo, died at 2:20 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown with Jarad Corzine officiating and military rites to follow by VFW Post #9770. Burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday and for one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, Granite City, IL.

Benjamin Vernon Glenn, Sr. was born on Monday, November 21, 1938 in Sparta, IL to William and Della (Myers) Glenn. He married Florence ‘Flossie’ Emmons Heuermann. He was employed at World Color Press for 42 years and retired as a quality control manager. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and belonged to the Graphic Communications Union Local #391.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by; sons, George (Cindy) Glenn, Edwardsville, Randy (Norma) Glenn, Chugwater, WY, Benjamin (Janilyn) Jr., Chugwater, WY and Terry W. Glenn, St. Elmo; and 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 brothers and 7 sisters; and one grandchild.
