Dollie S. Duckwitz (86) of rural Brownstown

Dollie S. Duckwitz, 86, of rural Brownstown, died at 8:11 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.
A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Spring Hill Cemetery, rural Beecher City with Tom Fedrigon officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, or the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Dollie was born on Sunday, August 9, 1936 in rural St. Elmo, IL to Joseph E. and Nellie M. (Hissong) Logsdon. She married Clarence Arthur ‘Red’ Duckwitz on June 16, 1956 in Vandalia and he preceded her in death on July 1, 2006. She was a member of the St. Elmo Christian Church, and a St. Elmo High School Homecoming Queen.
She is survived by: her sons, Joseph (Lea Ann) Duckwitz of St. Elmo, Dennis (Julie) Duckwitz of St. Elmo and John Duckwitz of Brownstown; daughter, Janni Wright of Brownstown and brother, Cody Logsdon of St. Elmo. She was a proud Grandmother to 22 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Dollie was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; brothers, Howard Logsdon and Bill Logsdon; sisters, Lorraine Evans, Maxine Durbin, Betty Curry and Viola Daniels in infancy.
