Kenneth Albert, age 91, of Hidalgo, Illinois, passed away at 7:44 AM – Saturday, January 28, 2023, at Brookstone Estates Robinson, Illinois.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM till 2:00 PM on Friday, February 3, 2023, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, with a service celebrating Kenny’s life will be held at 2:00 PM. Kenneth, better known to his family and friends as Kenny, was born on January 25, 1932, on the family farm, near Hidalgo, Illinois, the son of Elmer and Pearl (Cummings) Albert. He married Ruth Lenore Groves on August 7, 1951, and to the union, were born three children, Steve, Peggy, and Jeanie. Kenny was a gentle, quiet family man and was a skilled mechanic. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and visiting with family and friends.
Kenny is survived by: Daughters – Peggy (Cliff) Schiller of Oblong, Illinois; and Jean (Bruce) Hardiman of Robinson, Illinois; Grandchildren – James (Heidi) Hartrich of Denver, Colorado; Shelby (Joshua) Dersch of St Charles, Missouri; Christi Hardiman, Bruce (Ashley) Hardiman, Dustin (Jenny) Hardiman, Brandon (Molly) Hardiman, Kyle (Jenna) Hardiman, Jodi (Joey) Allen and Rod (Diana) Schiller. Great Grandchildren – McKegan Swanson, Bailey Hartrich, Elias Dersch and Everett Hartrich; Sister – Mildred Carter of Hidalgo, Illinois; Brothers – Jim Albert of Lapeer, Michigan and Fred Albert of Effingham, Illinois.
Kenny was preceded in death by his parents, wife Ruth Albert on March 18, 2010, son Steve Ellis Albert in 1987, grandson William Kenneth Hartrich in 2010, and two brothers Edgar Albert and Chester Albert.
