Donald Lee "Don" Manion (78) of Trilla

Donald Lee "Don" Manion 78, of Trilla, Illinois passed away at 7:47 PM Friday January 6, 2023 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon, Illinois.
He was born September 24, 1944 in Mattoon, Illinois the son of Dewey and Dolly (Laswell) Manion. Don married Elaine M. Kammler December 30, 2005 in Charleston, Illinois. Mr. Manion was a retired self employed Electrical Engineer for Manion and Associates. Don attended the Blue Mound United Methodist Church in Blue Mound, Illinois. He was a former Scout Master for Troop 20, Black Hawk District in Quincy, Illinois and received several honors and awards for his service.
Mr. Manion is survived by his wife, Elaine Manion of Trilla, Illinois; children, Richard Manion of Trilla, Illinois, Rob Manion of Trilla, Illinois, Ron Manion (Melissa) Payson, Illinois, Becki Winters of Quincy, Illinois, Angela Manion of Portland, Maine, Matthew (Katy) Neoga, Illinois, Beth Wise (Mike) of Effingham, Illinois and John Fain (Autumn "Niki") White Heath, Illinois; sixteen grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and his Montgomery family.
Don was preceded in death by his parents; step father, Rollie Montgomery; twelve siblings and one grandson. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project.
As per Don's wishes cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration Of Life Service will be held Sunday, January 22, 2023 at 3:00 PM at the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois.
