Anita Jean VanScyoc (64) of Neoga

Anita Jean VanScyoc 64, of Neoga, Illinois, passed away at 2:30 AM Thursday, December 29, 2022 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center of Mattoon, Illinois.

She was born November 30, 1958 in Effingham, Illinois the daughter of Richard and Marguerite (Downey) VanScyoc and the late Morris Cleeton. Anita was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse at the Sarah Bush Lincoln Clinic in Neoga, Illinois. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Neoga Twp., Illinois.

She is survived by her daughters, LaKrisha VanScyoc (fiancé Chad Petard) of Neoga, Illinois and Megan VanScyoc (fiancé Brad Westendorf) of Neoga, Illinois; grandchildren, Heath, Kenly, Braylee Westendorf and Lukas Petard; siblings, Carlos VanScyoc (LeAnn) of Vandalia, Illinois, Brad VanScyoc (Lori) of Tucson, Arizona, Mark (Jan) Cleeton of Rhome, Texas, David Cleeton (Amy) of Neoga, Illinois, and Dale VanScyoc (Marla) of Mattoon, Illinois, Vicki Hock (Doug) of Arcola, Illinois, Kathy Himes (Gary) of Lerna, Illinois; sister in law Nancy Nadolny (Ted) of Mattoon, Illinois; brother in law, Kenneth Evrley; special friends, Alice Icenogle (Brian) of rural Neoga, Illinois and Rhonda Utley (Allen) of Plato, Missouri; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, ex husband, Wayne VanScyoc; son, Adam VanScyoc brother, Kenneth VanScyoc; sister, Melinda Adams.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 5, 2022 in the Swengel - O’Dell Funeral Home in Neoga, Illinois. Visitation will be held Wednesday January 4, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM also in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Drummond Cemetery in Neoga Twp., Illinois.
