Garry J. Butler, 78, originally of Ingraham, IL passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 8:40 PM at his home in North Carolina.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 5th, 2023 at Holy Cross Church in Wendelin.

Garry was born August 14, 1944 in St. Charles, IL, at Delnor Hospital to Leo and Josephine (Cloud) Butler. He married Ruth Frohning on June 5th, 1965 and served his country in the United States Army. In his working years, he was a construction equipment operator, truck driver, Volunteer Fireman for Ingraham Fire Department, among many others civic activities. He enjoyed retirement, tilling up neighbor’s gardens, and could often be found spending time with his family and friends many times cooking large meals.

Garry is survived by son Scott of Ingraham, daughter Angela Ruholl (Raymond) of Farina and daughter Teresa Livingston (Wayne) of Garner, NC; and 6 grandchildren Allen, Adam (Chelsea), Natashia Arias (Andrew), Russ Ruholl (Danielle), Cody Livingston (Tori), Elizabeth Livingston and 7 great grandchildren, Lane Ruholl, Levi Ruholl, Catherine Arias, Anthony Arias, Greyson Livingston, Liam Ruholl, and Laine Livingston. Siblings; Larry (Janice) Butler of Effingham and Marilyn Frohning of Newton.

Garry was preceded in death by his parents; Leo and Josephine (Cloud) Butler, wife Ruth (Frohning), and brother Rick Butler.
