Louise Helen Mueller (72) of Strewardson

Louise Helen Mueller, 72, of Stewardson, IL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2022. 

Louise was born August 13, 1950, in Green Creek, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Wesselman. She married Ervin Mueller on November 19, 1977, and he preceded her in death December 4, 1993. 

Louise dedicated many years serving at St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, she could be found working in the front lobby until 2020.   Her hobbies included going to auctions, finding a good bargain, playing cards, gardening, and providing for her family’s needs. She was always available to hem or sew up a last-minute costume or clothing correction, and she never let anything go to waste. She loved her grandchildren dearly and practically, making sure she always had a storage tub of their next clothing size or school supplies ready when needed.  Her family will miss her direction, guidance, and her precise manner of managing her farm.

Louise is survived by her sons:   Ervin II (Brooke) of Stewardson and John (Erin) of Shumway; seven grandchildren: Mariah (Isaac) Kramer, Rhegan Riley, Tanner Price, Max, Kierra, Reece, and Kale Mueller; sisters:   Marcella (John) Koester, Martha Gazay, Lucille (Larry) Flach, Dorothy (Terry) Huddlestun, and Rita Vandeveer; brothers:  Henry Wesselman and Herman Wesselman along with several special nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ervin; sister, Mary Vandeveer; brother, Dave Wesselman; brothers-in-law: Jack Gazay, Ernest Vandeveer, and John Vandeveer and one grandchild in early pregnancy.

Private graveside services will be held.  Brummerstedt Funeral Home in Stewardson is assisting the family.
