Harold Eugene “Punk” Clark, 74, of Dalton City, IL., passed away at 3:15 pm Monday, December 19, 2022, at his residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Tuesday December 27, 2022, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 to 12:00 pm on December 27, 2022, at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in the Aten Cemetery with Military Rites by the Cumberland County Veterans.

Harold was born on September 6, 1948, son of Berl and Ruby (Coverstone) Clark, in Jewett, IL. He married Patty Finn on September 17, 1967.

Survivors include his wife Patty, son Brian (Jenna) Clark; daughters Peggy (Stan) Roe, Angela Mendenall, and Amanda (Brandon) Clark; brothers Carl Clark, and Dean Clark; grandchildren Natalie Carlock, Kierstan Roe, Cody (Sara) Stewart, Chris Stewart, Chance Mendenall, Jaxon Clark, Wyatt Clark, and Ryder Clark; Great grandchildren Leland, Dalles, Chase, Colt, Gracelynn Mae, and Parker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Lois Schwengel, and brothers Lloyd and Johnnie Clark.

Harold worked on the Illinois Central Railroad for 10 years, then he went on to be a truck driver with the Teamster Union for 12 years. He and Patty enjoyed spending their winters in Mission, Texas. Punk was a fan of racing, both dirt track and NASCAR. He was a flagman at both the Macon and Charleston Speedways for many years. He loved mushroom hunting and fishing.

Harold served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Mattoon VFW, American Legion, the Mattoon Moose, and the Mattoon Eagles.
