Maggie was born on June 2, 1949, in Effingham, IL, the daughter of Charles Joseph and Dorothy (Buennemeyer) Wiedman. Maggie graduated from St. Anthony High School in 1967. She then earned a business certificate from the Illinois Business College in Springfield, IL. She started her working career at the First National Bank where she met the love of her life, Danny. They married on October 24, 1970 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. She later worked at Household International Bank before retiring in 2012 from Prudential Insurance. Since retirement, she enjoyed setting her own schedule and meeting her family and friends for breakfast and lunch. One highlight of Maggie’s life was the recent Alaskan cruise with Danny during August of 2022 to honor their 50th wedding anniversary.

She was a long-time faithful member of St. Anthony Parish and prayed the Novena during Lent all 52 years of marriage. Maggie always put others first and her family was the most important part of her life. She loved her grandchildren and loved watching their sports and activities. Maggie was an avid sports fan who enjoyed watching college and professional sports. Her favorite teams were the Fighting Illini and St. Louis Cardinals. This created fun times in the house with her husband who is an avid Chicago Cubs fan. The two often watched games in separate rooms to keep the peace. Maggie planned her retirement and a surgery around the NCAA March Madness Tournament.

Maggie is survived by her husband of 52 years, Danny Bushue of Effingham; daughter, Kristi (Michael) Priem of Oak Creek, WI; son, Cory (Jennifer) Bushue of Marion, IL; grandchildren, Nora, Lilah, Emmett, Ben, Charlotte, and Daniel; brothers, Charles “Chuck” (Deb) Wiedman of Effingham and William “Bill” Wiedman of Pawnee; in-laws, Lois Kramer, Richard (Sue) Bushue, Don (Aleta) Bushue, and Marsha (Ben) Hilligoss; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; daughter, Kimberly “Kim” Bushue; sister-in-law, Sindi Wiedman; brother-in-law, Marion Kramer; and parents-in-law, Ruben and Ruth Bushue.
