Eric Ryan Bertolet (48) of Mattoon

Eric Ryan Bertolet, 48, of Mattoon, IL. passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022, at his residence.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday December 11, 2022, at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Burial will be in the Friends Grove Cemetery rural Toledo, IL at a later date.

Eric was born on January 7, 1974, in Danville, IL to John and Vicki (Freeman) Bertolet.

Survivors include his son Ryan Bertolet; parents John and Vicki; his longtime girlfriend Racheal Cushman and her children Thad and Cholly Cushman; two grandchildren Claire Bertolet and Allen Cushman.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Marion and Doris Bertolet and Russell and Rosalie Freeman; and by Ryan’s mother Angela Kincaid in 1996.

Eric graduated from Mattoon High School in 1992. He attended Lake Land College. He is the founder and owner of Clean’em Computer repair and Movin’ and Groovin’ DJ Services. Eric was said to be a “go to guy,” who loved music and playing drums. He was a loving and caring friend to many. He was always learning and researching new things. His family says he was always the one behind the camera and he loved his son and grandkids.
