Gregory Olson, 67, of Vandalia, formerly of Texas, died at 7:25 a.m. Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Sarah Bush Lincoln Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia, IL.
A private memorial graveside service will occur at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family with arrangements.
Gregory K. Olson was born on March 30, 1955 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Robert E. and Mary B. (Smith) Olson. He was employed with Exxon in offshore drilling and had lived in Texas during his working career.
He is survived by a few cousins in the area and was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, aunts and uncles.
