Wayne Maurice Thoele (57) of Jacksonville, formerly of Teutopolis

Wayne Maurice Thoele, 57, of Jacksonville, IL, formerly of Teutopolis, IL, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Jacksonville Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, IL.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to service time Saturday at the church, in St. Clare Hall. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Wayne was born January 2, 1965, in San Francisco, CA, the son of Ronald and Barbara (Eirhart) Thoele. Wayne spent his life as a mechanic, which was both a career and a hobby. When he was not working for a living, he was working on his Mopars or his Harley or helping friends with theirs. Wayne’s absence leaves a huge hole in the lives of his family and friends.

Wayne is survived by his mother, Barbara Thoele of Teutopolis; son, Garrett (Taylor) Buzzard of Altamont; and sister, Shanta Thoele of Pawnee, IL.

Wayne was preceded in death by his father, Ronald “Mooner” Thoele of Teutopolis; and several friends.
