As per Cleo's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded and a family graveside service will be held at a later date.The Swengel-O’Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is assisting the family with arrangements. Cleo was born September 29, 1930 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, the daughter of William McKinley and Maude (Brandon) Goad. She married Sam True. Mr. True passed away August 20, 1972. Cleo was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant for Dr. Dippold and Mattoon Memorial Hospital. She was a former member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Mattoon, Illinois, She was an avid baker and loved spending time with her family.
Cleo is survived by her children, Jerry True (Marsha) of Mattoon, Janis Bapp (Steve) of Janesville, Illinois, Jill Farrell (Jeff) of Mattoon and Jeff True (Susan) of Mattoon; nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.
Cleo was preceded in death by her parents; husband Sam and two brothers and two sisters.
