David B. Phegley, 61, of Shelbyville, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in University of Chicago Medicine in Chicago, IL.
David was born on March 1, 1961, in Shelbyville, the son of Lennel and Juanita (Lawrence) Phegley. He was a 1979 graduate of Shelbyville High School and followed his passion for farming. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Shelbyville. He enjoyed hunting and riding motorcycles.
He leaves behind two sons: Josh Phegley of Shelbyville and Blake Phegley of Sullivan; siblings: Kathryn McCan Kalaher (Ed) of Carlinville, Judith Cox (Robert) of Searcy, AR, Paul Phegley (Kathy) of Martinsville, Becky Pierson (Noel) of Shelbyville and Pam Charlet (Tim) of Arizona.
David was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, in Lockart-Green Funeral Home with Reverend Kevin Ray officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A private family burial will take place in Glenwood Cemetery. Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
