Terry Lynn Rose Sr., age 71, of Altamont, Illinois passed away at 8:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family.
Graveside service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Edgewood Cemetery in Edgewood, Illinois. Mark Harden will be officiating. Memorials may go to Crossroads Cancer Center, HSHS Hospice, or donor’s choice. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here.
Terry was born on September 20, 1951 in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Joseph E. and Vonda L. (Fitts) Rose. He married Paula Jean McMillan on April 4, 1987 in Vandalia. Terry served in the United States Marine Corp. in 1970 during the Vietnam War. He loved to ride Harley Davidson motorcycles, football, and spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Paula Rose of Altamont; sons, Terry Rose Jr. (wife Brittany) of Terre Haute, Kelly Rose of Watson, and Nick Rose of Effingham; brother, Joe Rose (wife Linda) of Edgewood; sister, Kathy Vanderbeek of Las Vegas; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Rose and Vonda Chapman; two sons, Dillion Rose who died in infancy and Adam Rose.
