John Henry Kemme (63) of Casey

John Henry Kemme, age 63, of Casey Illinois, and formerly of Dieterich, Illinois, passed away at 6:05 AM Monday, September 26, 2022, at his home.

Visitation will be held 1:00 - 3:00 PM Friday, September 30, 2022, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois. Graveside services will follow at the Dieterich Village Cemetery south of Dieterich, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left by clicking here.

John was born on October 6, 1958, in Teutopolis, Illinois, the son of Robert and Esther (VanPelt) Kemme. He graduated from Teutopolis High School with the Class of 1977. John married Sharon Barlow on March 12, 1993, and she survives. John retired from Quad Graphics in Effingham, after 40 years of service. He was an avid fisherman hunter and sports fan.

John is survived by: Wife of 29 years – Sharon Kemme of Casey, Illinois; Children – Stacey (Steve) Niebrugge of Sigel, Illinois; Rachel Stortzum of Effingham, Illinois; Nicole (Reginald) Bradford of Collinsville, Illinois; and Nathan Barlow of Shiloh, Illinois; Daughter-in-law – Hollie Kemme of Teutopolis, Illinois; Siblings – Barbara (Jim) King of Teutopolis, Illinois; Randy (Linda) Kemme of Teutopolis, Illinois; Nila (Doug) Tieffel of Teutopolis. Illinois; and Rick (Maryann) Kemme of Madison, Missouri; 16 Grandchildren and 1 Great Grandchild.

John was preceded in death by his parents, son Brett Kemme and father-in-law and mother-in-law Floyd and Lucie Barlow.
