Anita J. Kemper, 70, of Hidalgo, IL, passed away on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 1:33 pm at HSHS St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL.
Funeral services will be held on Monday September 26, 2022, at 11:00 am at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 am at the Barkley Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Jewett Cemetery.
Anita was born on December 26, 1951, the daughter of Michael and Ora Gladys (VanScyoc) Kingery, in Toledo, IL. She married Rickey Kemper on July 21, 1973, and he preceded her in death on February 12, 2001.
Anita is survived by her sons Bill and Johnny Price; daughters Anita M. (Michelle) Kemper and Mary (Larry) Sparling and stepdaughter Melissa; brothers Robert Kingery and Lowell Kingery; sisters Jeanette Glidewell and Marie Kemper; 18 grandchildren; and several great grandchildren.
Anita was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ralph, Chester, Jim, and Paul Kingery; and sister Janie; two grandchildren Samantha Stine and Diamond Price; two great grandchildren Tyler and Gunner Sparling; and stepdaughter Melinda.
Anita was a homemaker.
