Gary Bryon Lange, 56, of Chicago, Illinois passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022 in Chicago.

As per Gary’s wishes, he was cremated. There will be a Celebration of Life Service Sunday, September 18 at his niece, Abigail Lange’s apartment in Chicago from noon to 2 p.m.

Gary was born September 17, 1965 in Effingham, Illinois to Thomas and Winetta (Crabb) Lange. When he was seven years old, his parents and family moved to Phoenix, Arizona but even as a youngster he vowed he’d move back to Illinois. After graduating high school and attending Phoenix Community College and Gateway Community College, Gary worked for Ed Debevic’s Restaurant and that started him heading into the restaurant industry. He and his wife Tricia made the move to Chicago and he worked for Lettuce Entertain You restaurants. He became a trainer for the Corner Bakery and also was a former consultant at Queen Bee Teaches Baking. His final job was back at what he loved, working behind the counter at Pot Belly.

Gary is survived by his brother, Anthony (Christianne) Lange of Fullerton, California; nieces Abigail Lange of Chicago and Madeline Lange of Fullerton, California; aunt and uncle Jim and Linda Lange of Effingham and aunt, Millie Lange of Effingham along with numerous cousins and his Chicago family of friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
