Dylan Kyler Taylor, 20, of Beecher City, IL, passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana, IL, following an automobile accident.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2022 at the First Christian Church in Cowden, IL, with Rev. Antonio Sutton officiating. Military rites will be performed by the American Legion. Visitation will be from 2:00-5:00 p.m. Saturday in the church. Memorials may be given to Cowden United Methodist Church or Gift of Hope.  Arrangements are by Howe & Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL.

Dylan was born on July 24, 2002 in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of Timothy R. and Elizabeth K. (Burks) Taylor. He graduated from Cowden-Herrick High School in the Class of 2020. Dylan served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division. He married Paeton Underwood on December 19, 2020. He was a mechanic for Rhodes Automotive and previously worked for Loudon Construction, both in Beecher City, IL.  Dylan enjoyed weightlifting at the Zone in Effingham, running, fishing, riding dirt bikes, playing his guitar, and working on cars and motorcycles. He was a member of the Cowden United Methodist Church.

Dylan is survived by his wife, Paeton; parents, Timothy and Elizabeth Taylor; brother, Isaac Taylor of Beecher City, IL; sister, Zia Taylor of Beecher City, IL; grandparents, Chuck and Cheryl Burks of Beecher City, IL and Glenna Taylor of Beecher City, IL; aunts and uncles, Jacob and Carrie Burks of Beecher City, IL, Jodi and Jacob Smith of Beecher City, IL, David Taylor of Beecher City, IL, Stephen Taylor and Rosie Lange of Beecher City, IL; cousins, Hannah Taylor, Noah Taylor and wife Gracie, Zachery Burks, Carsen Burks, Zaryah Smith, Zaven Smith and Taylor Smith; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Carl and Linda Underwood of Beecher City, IL; brother-in-law, Carson Underwood of Beecher City, IL, and sister-in-law, Casey Tappendorf and husband Chris of Altamont, IL.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Donald Dwight and Elinor Burks; and Vivian and Arland Klitzing; grandfather, Robert L. Taylor; and uncle, Zachery J. Burks.
