Richard F. Montague (83) of Windsor

Richard F. Montague, 83, of Windsor, IL passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, in Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Mattoon, IL.

Richard was born on January 18, 1939, in Mattoon, the son of Newell Dixon and Hazel Ann (Harned) Montague. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Richard married Judith “Judy” Carter on August 18, 1960 and they were blessed with 62 years of marriage. Richard was an electrician for 34 years with IBEW Local 146 in Decatur before retiring in 1999.

He is survived by his wife, Judy of Windsor; children: Nancy (Steve) Bridges of Wapella, Meg (Scott) Billhartz of New Baden and Laura Maguire of Normal; six granddaughters: Diane, Elizabeth and Katy Bridges, Alexandra and Emily Billhartz and Vanessa Maguire and many nieces and nephews.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Robert, Jerry and Byron and sister, Beverly.

Private family services will take place at a later date. Lovins-Lockart Funeral Home is assisting the family.
