Joanna Petty (94) of Lexington, KY

Joanna Petty, 94, of Lexington, KY passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, in Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY. 

Joanna was born on January 23, 1928, in Cowden, IL, the daughter of Arthur Orlando and Onia Mae (Wallace) Black.

She is survived by her four sons: Randolph Petty (Janet), Eric Petty (Sue), William Petty (Rosemary) and Brent Petty (Vicki); six grandchildren: Jaclyn Quackenbush (Mike), Valerie Caldwell (Joshua), Shelly Fryman (Ben), Andy Petty (Myra), Adam Petty (Amanda) and Shelby Varela (Zeke); 12 great-grandchildren: Isabel Caldwell, Calvin Petty, Kensie Caldwell, Willow Petty, Redding Quackenbush, Elias Caldwell, Sloan Quackenbush, Ameilya, Luke Varela, Alya, Lucas Fryman and Seth Fryman and sister, Lillie Gregg.

Joanna was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Calvin Otto Petty; grandson, Jeremy Fattore and siblings: Leslie, Delbert, Nadean, Tom, Leah, LaVerne, George, Carney, Mabel, Luther, Paul and Dorothy.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2022, in Mound Cemetery near Cowden, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, P.O. Box 368, Woodland Hills, CA  91365 or mailed to Lockart-Green Funeral Home, 302 W. Main St., Shelbyville, IL 62565. Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
