Christian L. Ames, 29, of Sigel, IL, passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO after a lengthy battle with brain cancer,

Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Mullen Baptist Church in Montrose, IL. Burial will be in Mullen Cemetery in Montrose. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday at the church. Services are in the care of Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Memorials may be made to Christian’s family at services or through their GoFundMe “Christian Ames fulfill his wish”. Christian was born on March 25, 1993, in Honolulu, HI, the son of Richard and Stephanie (Hill) Ames. Christian attended Dieterich High School. He loved children, especially his own. He also loved building things, music, playing his guitar, and food.

Christian is survived by his sons, Warren and Wrynn; parents, Richard and Stephanie Ames; siblings, Alicia (Tony) Amos, Tyler Ames, Caleigh Ames, Ezra Ames, Ethan Ames, Elijah Ames, Noah Ames, Jonah Ames, and Caleb Ames; maternal grandparents, Rev. Richard and Charlotte Hill; and nieces and nephews, Emma, Jensen, Jayce, Nolan, and Amaris. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Richard and Patricia Ames.
