Patricia was born August 16, 1957, the fourth child of five, to James E. Farris Sr. and Martha A. (Kaiser) Farris. She attended school through her junior high in Decatur. She then lived in Lakewood during her high school years, graduating from Shelbyville High School in 1975. Patricia married Scott A. Daugherty in 1976, sharing 21 years of marriage and a daughter, Dana Jo Daugherty. She later shared five years, including one official wedding anniversary, with Charley E. Swarms before his passing October 9, 2004. She found her passion when she became a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service. Her health forced her to retire in 2012. After a 10-year battle with Lewy Body Dementia, she is able to rest.
She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Dana Jo (Daugherty) Allen and her cherished grandson, Connor Ross Walker, earning the name "GiGi" completed her; brothers: Jim (Hildreth) Farris of Heber City, UT and Tony Farris of Fancher; nieces: Tammy (Will) Callander of St. Louis, MO, Tasha Farris (Marek Wisniewski) of Chicago and Megan (Jeff) Cross of Muncie, IN; nephews: Kiran Farris, Jeremy Farris, Ean Farris, all of Heber City, UT and Marceau LeBon (Tina Oxley) of Muncie, Ind.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charley E. Swarms; sisters: Debbie Farris and Judi LeBon.
