Doug A. Roedl, 62, of Effingham, IL, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 in his home surrounded by family.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Johnson Funeral Home in Effingham. Burial will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to HSHS Hospice Southern Illinois.
Doug was born on December 30, 1959, in Mattoon, IL, the son of Donald and Deanne (Howerton) Roedl.
Doug worked as a maintenance man at the Holiday Inn and Lakeland Nursing Home for several years. He enjoyed watching the Cardinals, tying flies, and fishing. He especially loved his many flowers and took pride in his yard.
Doug is survived by his siblings, Dale “Butch” Roedl, Donnie (Ann) Roedl, Dan “Fred” (Dawn) Roedl, and Denise (Mike) Miller; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; and parents.
