Angila L. Veach (60) of Greenup

Angila L. Veach, age 60, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away at 1:05 AM Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Casey Health Care Center in Casey, Illinois, reuniting with the love of her life John.

Visitation will be held 4:00-6:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2022, at the Meyer Funeral Home-Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois, with services to follow with Pastor Irvin Figgins officiating. In loving memory of Angila, memorials may be made to the Casey Health Care Center- Activity Fund. Angila Lynn was born on November 2, 1961, in Mattoon, Illinois, the daughter of Gerald Max and Linda (Hawes) Niccum. She married John Thomas Veach on July 7, 1979, in Greenup, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2020. Angila enjoyed decorating cookies and cakes for friends and family. Later she shared her skills working as a cake decorator for Wal-Mart. Angila was an animal lover, raising Dachshunds, chickens and rabbits. She loved being outside when the weather was nice, enjoying the hummingbirds, frogs, her water fountains and flowers. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Angila is survived by: Children (Eric (wife Ashley) Veach of Toledo, Illinois and Rachel (Rob Childress) Veach of Charleston, Illinois; Grandchildren – Savannah Zike, Vance Zike, Avery Veach and Alivia Veach; Brother – Farren Niccum; Mother-in-law- Dorothy Whitaker; Brother-in-law – Mike Veach.

Angila was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
