Larry Eugene Armstrong (75) of Shelbyville

Larry Eugene Armstrong, 75, of Shelbyville, IL passed away at 11:23 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, in the Shelbyville Manor in Shelbyville, IL.

Larry was born on September 16, 1946, in Fort Collins, CO, the son of Richard Eugene and Violet Marine (Hill) Armstrong. He was a 1964 graduate of Laramie High School in Laramie, WY, served in the United States Army and earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wyoming.

He is survived by his brother, Terry Armstrong of Pahrump, NV; sister, Kathy (Randy) Hardesty of Wildwood, MO and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and the many friends Larry made over his lifetime.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dennis Walter Armstrong.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29, 2022, in Cornerstone Community Fellowship with Pastor John Curtis officiating. Burial will take place in Hudson Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Larry’s name to Cornerstone Community Fellowship and mailed to 302 W. Main St., Shelbyville, IL 62565. Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
