Norman Victor Clough, age 94, of Altamont, Illinois passed away at 9:00 a.m. Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Lutheran Terrace Senior Apartments with his daughter at his side.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022 at Pagel Funeral Homes in St. Elmo, Illinois. PeeWee Denton will be officiating. Burial will be at Springhill Cemetery in St. Elmo. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Sunday, May 1, 2022 at the funeral home. Memorials may go to Lutheran Care Center, Springhill Cemetery, or the donor’s choice. Norman was born on April 16, 1928 in Marion County, Indiana the son of John Henry and Lucy (Schastid) Clough. He married Frances “Evelyn” Durbin on July 23, 1950 at Springhill Church in Beecher City. He was a member of the Sons of American Revolution and Valley of Danville Scottish Rites. He loved genealogy, the oil field, collecting stamps and coins, and spending time with his family. Norman served in the United States Air Force from May of 1951 to October of 1952. He served in Korea during the Korean War.

He is survived by his daughter, Karen Diane Laue (husband Randy) of St. Elmo; grandchildren, Tracy Mahon (husband Todd) of St. Elmo, Jason Laue (wife Jennifer) of Shrewsbury, Missouri, and Libby Collins (husband Levi) of Newton; 9 great-grandchildren, Rhett Evans, Randi Evans, Aniston Mahon, Jack Laue, Cole Laue, Ellery Laue, Amelia Collins, Scarlett Collins, and Cash Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Evelyn Clough; and brother, John William Clough in infancy.
