Jeannine L. Sidwell (92) of Brownstown

Jeannine L. Sidwell, 92, of Brownstown, died at 2:24 p.m. Friday, April 22, 2022 at Aperion Care, St. Elmo, IL.

She was cremated and a memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Liberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown with a light meal to follow. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery. Memorials may be made to help offset funeral expenses. Gieseking Funeral Home, Brownstown is assisting with arrangements.

Jeannine Louise Sidwell was born on Monday, April 14, 1930 in Harvey, IL to Lewis and Nancy (Kennedy) Meeks. She married Dwight Sidwell on February 26, 1956 in Miami, OK and he preceded her in death on August 19, 1999. She was a member of Liberty Christian Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher for over 20 years. In addition to being a wife and mother she had operated a furniture upholstery business and had worked with stained glass windows.

She is survived by: her son, Lewis P. (Susan) Norman of Colfax, WI; brother, Lester (Paulette) Meeks of Lynwood; 2 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; 8 nieces and 3 nephews.

Jeannine was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; son, Timothy John Norman (died serving in Vietnam); and 2 brothers.
