David Ray Meeks, Jr. (52) of Robinson

David Ray Meeks, Jr. age 52 of Robinson, Illinois passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at his residence.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 25, 2022 at the Crain Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Services celebrating David’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 25th in the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.

David was born on February 26, 1970 in Olney, Illinois the son of David Ray Meeks, Sr. and Betty Ann Baker Meeks. David worked as a handyman and formerly at the Hershey Factory. In his free time, he loved to spend time outdoors. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

David is survived by his wife Lindsey Wright Meeks of Robinson; children Justin Meeks of Metropolis, Brittany (Israel) Avila of Metropolis, Amanda (Adonus Dixon) Goodwin of Robinson, Summer McClain of Arcola, Carolyn Meeks of Robinson, Nathan (Paige Gregory) Meeks of Robinson, Beth (Cody) Goshen of Marshall and Tiara Lewis of Newton; eleven grandchildren Aleshia, Aubree, Brooklynn, Lucas, Madalynn, Delilah, Justin, Jr, Harminnie, Elijah, Hailee; brother Troy (Hope) Meeks of Newton; sister DeAnna (Scott) Greenwood of St. Francisville, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles .
