William Norbert “Wild Bill” Ruholl, age 67, of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 9:00 PM Monday, April 11, 2022, at his home.

William Norbert, better know to his family and friends as “Wild Bill” was born on April 21, 1954, in Effingham, Illinois, the son of Norbert and Pauline (Dust) Ruholl. He graduated from Newton Community High School with the class of 1972. Bill had worked at GSI, UTA, Petty’s and for the City of Newton. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting, mushroom hunting and setting around a camp fire telling stories. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.

Bill is survived by: Wife – Thelma Ruholl of Newton, Illinois; Children – Stephanie Ruholl of Manhattan, New York; William Norbert “Pete” Ruholl, Jr of Effingham, Illinois; Phillip (Melissa) Ruholl of Noble, Illinois; Ashley (Joe) Hoene of Yale, Illinois; Constance McEntee of Lake Jackson, Texas and Emily Ruholl (fiancé Tyler Doss) of Mattoon, Illinois; Siblings – Ralph (Diann) Ruholl of Teutopolis, Illinois; Diana (Ralph) Bierman of Dieterichs, Illinois; John Ruholl of Wheeler, Illinois; Joe (Karen) Ruholl of Teutopolis, Illinois; Alf (Kathleen) Ruholl of Teutopolis, Illinos; Ben (Rose) of Effingham, Illinois; Raymond (Angie) Ruholl of Farina, Illinois; and Linda Utley of Effingham, Illinois; and 13 Grandchildren.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Jim Utley, sister-in-law Jean Ruholl and niece Maria Ruholl.
