Angelo Luis Molina, Sr., 78, of Sailor Springs, Illinois passed away at 5:06 a.m. Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at his home.

Funeral services honoring the life of Angelo will be held at 4 pm Sunday, April 10 at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville with Heath Sheraden officiating, and following the services cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be held Sunday at the funeral home where friends may call from 2 to 4 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Angelo’s memory to the family to help with final expenses and will be accepted through the funeral home. Angelo was born February 10, 1944, in Jayuya, Puerto Rico, the son of Juan and Iris (Rivera) Molina. He married Lois Busse, August 14, 1982, in Newton, and they shared 39 years of marriage. Angelo worked many various jobs over the years, some being a construction worker and building cabinets, and had worked for the water department in Dietrich for several years. Mr. Molina was a former member of the Flora Eagles, and had formerly attended the First Baptist Church in Newton. He had many different hobbies and things he loved to do in life with some having been an avid fisherman, playing pool, he loved to wood work, watching a good western on TV, and building a good bon fire. His favorite activity was visiting with others, he was a very social person, and had a huge love for all his family.

Angelo is survived by his wife; Lois Molina, of Sailor Springs, four children; Angelo Molina, Jr., of Effingham, Juanita (Alvin) Torres, of Dunkirk, New York, Michele (Heath) Sheraden, of Francisco, Indiana, Chris Austin, of Sailor Springs, seven grandchildren; Shania Molina Cox, Kevin Molina, Alvin Torres, Jr., Halee Burnett, Micha Sheraden, Brihanna Sheraden, Gabe Austin, and seven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters; Emilia Gordillo, Nilda (Gumercindo) Neris, Marta DeJsus, Ana Thomas, Alma (Arnaldo) DeJesus Maldonado, Zoraida DeJesus Salgado, his brothers; Roberto Irizarry, William (Aracelis) DeJesus, Angel DeJesus, Luis (Wilda) DeJesus, Jorge DeJesus, Julio (Cathy) DeJesus, and many nieces and nephews. 

Angelo was preceded in death by his parents, a grandson; Johnney Torres, and two brothers; Hector DeJesus, and Sergio DeJesus.
