Bruce Allen Fisher, age 76, of Teutopolis, Illinois, passed away at 8:48 PM Monday, March 28, 2022, at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 3, 2022, with visitation from 1:00-3:00 PM at the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois. A reception for family and friends will be held following the service at Kasey’s on Main 113 East Main Street, Teutopolis, Illinois. In loving memory of Bruce, memorials may be made to Fear Nothing and can be mailed to the Fisher Family 18194 East 1545th Avenue, Teutopolis, Illinois 62467. Bruce was born on August 1, 1945, in Robinson, Illinois, the son of John and Irma (Hart) Fisher. He married Sandra Bigard on April 19, 1969, at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, Illinois. Bruce graduated from Oblong High School in 1963. He worked as a cabinet maker at Lustig Cabinets for several years. For over 20 years he shared his talents of woodworking independently. Many knew Bruce through his talent of taxidermy creations. Bruce served in the United States Army on November 24, 1965, and was honorably discharged on September 14, 1967. Bruce was a member of the St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Teutopolis, Illinois, Teutopolis American Legion Post #924 and the Knights of Columbus. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman who loved to garden, hunt, fish and was an avid supporter of the NWTF Wabash Valley Longbeards Chapter. He enjoyed attending NASCAR races and traveling, proudly visiting 40 of the 50 states.

Bruce is survived by: Wife of 52 years – Sandra Fisher of Teutopolis, Illinois; Son – Chad (wife Heather) Fisher of Geneva, Illinois; 2 Grandchildren – Sloane Fisher and Sienna Fisher both of Geneva, Illinois; 3 Sisters – Annette Rubsam of Owensboro, Kentucky; Dale (husband Albert) Minnick of Robinson, Illinois and Shirley Zimmerman of Effingham, Illinois.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Shauna Fisher who passed away in 2001, brothers-in-law James Rubsam and Rich Zimmerman.
