Allen David Cadwalader (75) of Mattoon

Allen David Cadwalader, age 75, passed away on Monday, February 28, 2022 at the Mattoon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Allen was born on July 21, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Merril Cadwalader and Ella Becker Cadwalader. He is survived by one son, Abraham, of Charleston, Illinois, a brother, Robert, of Arcola, Illinois.

Allen was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Christine.

Allen graduated from Altamont, Illinois High School. Allen served honorably in the U.S. Army from June, 1966 through June, 1969, with a tour of duty in the Republic of South Vietnam. Allen was a great man who loved his family and loved and worshipped his Creator. Allen loved his church family and had many friends along life’s journey. He loved nature, fishing, visiting state parks, and animals. He was a man of integrity and will be missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held in his honor at Apostolic Center Church, Mattoon, on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 2 PM.
