Elizebeth “Beth” Ann Albert (Fender), age 63, of Xenia, Illinois passed away at 5:22 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022, at the SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon, surrounded by her children and family.

Beth was a 1976 graduate of North Clay High School in Louisville and a former school bus driver for the North Clay School District.

Beth was known as being a devoted and loving mother to her four children. Her main priority in life was always her family and her children. One of Beth’s superpowers was loving strongly and unconditionally.

Beth loved cooking and baking. She was constantly in the kitchen and was always known to show love through family meals. No one left Beth’s house hungry. At Christmas time, Beth made a big production out of making everyone in the family a big box of Christmas cookies. In fact, those cookies caused quite the stir every single year.

Beth also enjoyed planning trips. Her favorite place was always the Smoky Mountains and Blue Ridge Parkway. Beth would spend hours planning vacations, but most of her trips ended up right back in the Smoky Mountains.

Beth could usually be found on the telephone. She loved gossiping with all of her friends and family, especially her kids.

Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Luther (Dick) and Nevada (Peggy) Fender; her sister, Peggy Fender; and her unnamed baby.

Beth is survived by her high school sweetheart and fiancé, Douglas Wildbur; her children: David (Brad) Albert and fiancée Jessica Orrell, of Centralia; Josh and Amy Albert, of Alma; Molly Pyatt, of New Jersey; and Douglas (Austen) Wildbur and fiancée Katie Logan, of Xenia; her brother, Luther (Dale) Fender and friend Debbie Fender, of Clay City; her grandchildren: Gavin, Brayden, Lauren, Preston, Lily, Julian, Dalton, Reece, Chloe, Maddilyn, Hayden, Elizabeth, and Brantley; her nephew, Joseph and Mandy Fender; and many other family members and friends.

Beth will be greatly missed by her friends and family. Although Beth has left her family and friends behind, she will remain in their hearts and minds until they meet again one day.

Funeral services honoring the life of Beth will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2022 at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville, with Ronnie Frazier officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Union Cemetery, Bible Grove. Visitation will be held on Friday at the funeral home where friends may call from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Beth’s memory to the family to help with funeral expenses, and will be accepted through the funeral home.
