Christine Reynolds, 83, of rural Beecher City, IL died at 8:00 a.m. at her home.

As per her wishes, she will be cremated and a private family service will be held at a later date. Gieseking Funeral Home, Altamont is assisting the family. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

Christine was born on Monday, April 4, 1938 in Johns Creek, Kentucky to Raymond and Pearlie (Church) Ward. She married James R. Reynolds on July 1, 1956 in Corinth, MS and he preceded her in death on August 29, 2018. She was a member of South Side Baptist Church, Effingham. She was proud to be a coal miner’s daughter growing up in the hollers of Kentucky. Her life centered around her family whom she loved dearly having helped raise her brothers and sister, granddaughter and great grandson.

She is survived by: her daughters, Veronica Taylor of Beecher City and Venita (Gary) Galbreath of Beecher City; sister, Aveline (Jessie) Carrol of Ohio; brothers, Roscoe (Joyce) Ward of Ohio, Roger Ward of Ohio, and Don Ward of Indiana; granddaughter, Amanda (K.C.) Childress of Brownstown; great grandson, Jimmy Braasch of Beecher City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers, Willie and Gratho Ward. Online condolences may be expressed by clicking here
