John "Calvin" Minyard (83) of Effingham

John “Calvin” Minyard, U.S. Army Veteran, Lifetime Member of International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150, age 83, of Effingham, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday February 1, 2022.
Loving husband of Sandra Minyard, nee Arnett. Devoted father of John (Gretchen) Minyard, Jim (Debbie) Minyard, Glenn (Tara) Minyard, Deborah Kehle, Bill Henderson, Theresa (Scott) MacKenzie. Proud Grandpa of Jake, Luke, Abigail, Natalie, Jake, Avery, Heather, Dana, Greg, and Zac; great-grandchildren, Madison and Ryan. Dearest brother of Esther Peracki, Lucille Mullins, Margaret Abernathy, and Annette Lack. Devoted and cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents John and Leslie Minyard; sister Jeanette Brown; and brother, Homer Minyard.
Visitation Saturday, February 5, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Johnson Funeral Home, 1110 N. Fourth Street, Effingham, IL 62401. Burial immediately following with military rites at Woodlawn Cemetery in Effingham.
