Steven Michael Williams, age 48, of Lakewood, IL departed this life much too soon on Wednesday, January 26, 2022, in Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, IN.  

Steve was born on May 5, 1973, in Shelbyville, IL, the son of Michael and Judy (Nohren) Williams. He was a 1991 graduate of Cowden-Herrick High School, a lead operator at Graphic Packaging International for more than 25 years and a member of the First Christian Church in Cowden. He enjoyed on-line auctions, working on lawn mowers, playing fast pitch softball, participating in 5k and 10k runs and watching the St. Louis Cardinals and Cincinnati Bengals. His greatest joy was his daughter and spending time with his loved ones including his cat, Frenchy and dog, Shoestring. Steve was a deeply devoted dad, a caring and loyal son, brother, uncle and friend. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his family and friends.

Surviving are his daughter, Lauren Williams of Lakewood; father, Michael Williams of Cowden; brother, Tim (Krysie) Williams of Findlay; nieces, Brieanna and Ivy Williams of Findlay and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Judy Williams and grandparents, Warren and Lenora Nohren and Charles and Pauline Williams.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022, in the First Christian Church in Cowden with Pastor Richard Wamsley officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will take place in Mound Cemetery in rural Cowden. Memorials may be made to his daughter Lauren Williams and mailed to 302 W. Main St., Shelbyville, IL 62565. Lockart-Green Funeral Home is assisting the family.
