Clifford Russell Vinson, age 73, passed away at 11:12 a.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at Salem Township Hospital.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood, Illinois. James Vinson will be officiating. Burial will be at Elder Cemetery in Kinmundy. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Pagel Funeral Homes in Edgewood. Memorials may go to Pagel Funeral Homes to help with funeral expenses. Clifford was born on January 3, 1949 in Mississippi County Missouri, the son of Elmer and Ethel K. (Housman) Vinson. He loved fishing, hunting deer, working on vehicles, family fish fries, country music, and model trucks. Clifford had a particular love for John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams and Hank Williams Jr. He thoroughly enjoyed donating blood to help others in a time of need.

He is survived by his sons, John Vinson (wife Wilmary) of Florida and Chuck Vinson of Farina; daughters, Carrie Kistner of Ramsey and Kitty Johnson of Clay City; brothers, Thomas Vinson of Tennessee and Ricky Vinson (wife Faye) of Michigan; sisters, Freda Pringle of Michigan, Joyce Vinson of Tennessee, and Karen Vinson of Michigan; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild and one on the way.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Vester Vinson; and sister, Janice Vinson; sister-in-law, Marie Vinson; uncles, Albert Lee, Jr Housman, and Bruce Housman.
