David Carl Beccue, 72, of Louisville passed away at 1:35 a.m. Thursday, January 20, 2022 in rural Louisville.

David was born on May 1, 1949, in Vandalia, Illinois the son of Ernest Carl and Ellen “Davis” Beccue. David attended the Independent Electrical Contractors trade school in Louisville, Kentucky for 2 years. He then worked as a bindery operator for Crossroads Press in Effingham, where he retired from after 32 years. David loved a good book, and enjoyed history and politics. He was a sports fan, especially watching the New York Yankees baseball, and the Dallas Cowboys football games. David was a fan of many different forms of music, with The Beatles being his favorite. He loved his dog, Cammie who just preceded him in death 2 months prior. David was a member of the Louisville United Methodist Church.

David is survived by his children: Dusty Beccue, of Flora, Torey Beccue, of Louisville, Shawna Poe, of Louisville; 6 grandchildren: Alexa Jones, of Walnut Hill, Illinois, Rayven (Dustin) Herley, of Flora, Taryn (Tristan) Litaker, of Wahiawa, Hawaii, Xander Beccue, of Louisville, Riley Poe, of Louisville, Abriana Williams, of Flora; 3 great grandchildren: Kaelyn Litaker, Kallie Litaker, Everlee Herley. He is also survived by his ex-wife, with whom he remained close friends: Dianne Parks, of Louisville; 3 brothers: Rick (Louise) Beccue, of Farina, Ronnie (Becky) Beccue, of Edgewood, Steve Beccue, of Flora, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents: Ernest and Mable Beccue, Jess and Daisy Davis; brother: Bill Beccue; sister: Mary Ellen Worthey.

Funeral services honoring the life of David will be held at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the McGriff & Triplett Funeral Home in Louisville with Brent Bailey officiating. Following the service cremation rites will be accorded. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening at the funeral home where friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fur A Good Paws in Flora,and will be accepted through the funeral home.
