Paul Willenborg (91) of rural Neoga

Paul Willenborg, 91 of rural Neoga, IL passed away at 10:19 PM Sunday, December 19, 2021 in HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

He was born October 17, 1930 in Effingham County, Illinois the son of Edward J. and Clara H. (Hatke) Willenborg. Paul proudly served in the United States Army. He married Margaret Bueker on January 29, 1955 and she survives. Mr. Willenborg was farmer, a former Welder at Superior Mfg. and also worked at Blaw - Knox, Montgomery Equipment and Walmart. He was a member of the St. Mary Of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois and the Cumberland County Farm Bureau. 

Paul leaves his wife, Margaret of Neoga, Illinois; Children, Ginger Willenborg of Neoga, Illinois, Sue Kinklaar (Jerry) of Effingham, Illinois, Steve Willenborg (Lisa) of Neoga, Illinois, and Mike Willenborg of Neoga, Illinois; ten grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; brothers, Eugene Willenborg of Neoga, Illinois and Donald Willenborg of Neoga, Illinois.

Mr. Willenborg was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert Willenborg, Edward Willenborg, Floyd Willenborg; sisters, Leona Fearday, Florence Bushur, Gladys Bowman, Viola Bannick and Theresa Wood; grandson, Kyle Willenborg. 

Memorials may be made to the St. Michael’s School Sigel, Illinois 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in the St. Mary of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois. Visitation will be held Monday December 27, 2021 from  5:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a Parish Wake at 7:00 PM in the St. Mary of The Assumption Church in Neoga, Illinois. Burial will be in the St. Michael Cemetery in Sigel, Illinois with Military Honors by the Neoga American Legion Post 458 of Neoga, Illinois.
