Stephanie was born on July 20, 1961, in Lansdale, PA, the daughter of Carol and Freddie (Stalain) Smith.

From the very beginning, Stephanie was a special gift from God. She exceeded all expectations her whole life. Stephanie was a purely loving person and family was very important. Stephanie graduated from Effingham High School. She loved reading and sending letters. Her letters were elegant, poetic expressions of love. She also enjoyed sending cards and could spend hours picking one out. Stephanie found joy any way she could give to others. Music was a big part of her life, especially gospel music. Many knew her from her time working at Pizza Hut for 18 years. Later in life, her decline of vision hindered her from activities she loved, such as writing, doing her “Search Awords”, and latch hook projects. Stephanie was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Centenary United Methodist Church.

Stephanie is survived by her mother, Freddie Smith of Effingham, sister, Sheryl “Susie” Tyner of Richmond, VA; nieces and nephews, Ward Tyner of Richmond, VA, Ashely Tyner Parrish of Charleston, SC, Gregory Scott Tyner of Kill Devil Hills, NC, and Dennis L. Cooper II, Tamara Beth Cooper, Amanda Faith Cooper all of Pennsylvania; great-nieces and great-nephews, Austin Caroline Tyner, Samantha Nicole Tyner, Levi Thomas Tyner, Ivand Cooper, Jonah Cooper, Asher Cooper, Creed Cooper, Aperida Cooper, Daniel Meyers, Jenna Meyers, Aramie Arroyo, and Angel Arroyo.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carol; and sister, Elizabeth Ann Cope.
