Sandra Lee Bollhorst, age 75, of Effingham, Illinois passed away at 9:58p.m. Monday, November 29, 2021, at HSHS St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 3, 2021 atFriedens United Church of Christ in Farina, Illinois. Visitation will befrom 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service. Jerry Gesell will beofficiating. Burial will be at Farina Cemetery in Farina, Illinois.Memorials may go to the family, Friedens United Methodist Church orthe donor’s choice. Sandra was born November 19, 1946 in Vandalia, Illinois, the daughterof Ralph and Daisy (Loncor) Thompson. She married Richard Bollhorston May 18, 1963, at Friedens United Church of Christ in Farina, Illinois.She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing genealogy, ceramics, andplaying bingo.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeannie Calhoun (husband Steve) ofSt. Elmo, Illinois, Stacey Warner (husband Lee) of St. Elmo, Illinois,and Nikki Bollhorst (fiancé Rob Scrimpsher) of Altamont, Illinois; son-in-law, Rusty Wright of Beecher City, Illinois; sisters, Donna Cranford(husband James) of Oklahoma, Mary Lappin (husband Jerry) of Sesser,Illinois and Peggy Long (deceased husband Jerry) of Xenia, Illinois; 24 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and DaisyThompson; husband, Richard Bollhorst; daughter, Connie LynneWright; sister, Barbara Jean Thompson; and grandson, Timothy RayWarner.
