Joseph “Brian” Boarman, 51 of Tower Hill, Illinois passed away at 5:40 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2021 in his residence.

A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, December 3 in Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville with Rev. Derrick Ritchie officiating.  Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.  Memorials may be given to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Brian was born February 3, 1970 in Decatur, the son of Joseph Ambrose and Linda James Boarman.  He graduated from high school in Florida and then attended trade school to become a welder.  Brian was a welder for All Tri-R Inc. in Pana, working at ADM in Decatur.  He later worked as a mechanic for Ed Boarman Motors in Shelbyville.  He married Samantha Hembree March 28, 1992.  Brian and Samantha served as co-organizers of the Tower Hill Community Egg Hunt for over 15 years. 

He is survived by his wife, Samantha; daughters, Katelyn Pruett (Kyle) of Pana and Camryn Boarman of Tower Hill;  mother Linda Mize of Dunnellon, FL ; step-mother, Marcella Cox Boarman of Tower Hill; half-brother, Roger Boarman (Wendy) of Shelbyville; brothers, Robert Boarman of Bradenton, FL and Glen Boarman (Lori) of Colorado Springs, CO; sister, Lydia Rigsby (Doug) of Clermont, FL; sister-in-law, Katie Bridges of Tower Hill; three grandchildren, Leila Boarman, Oliver Pruett and Bently Pruett; nieces and nephews, Bryce Boarman, Savannah Boarman, Alexander Rigsby, William Rigsby, Holli Boarman, Austin Bridges, and Amaya Boarman; great nephews, Tristan Rigsby, Tate Bricker, and Cash Bricker; and one great niece, Aalyh Bricker. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Boarman; mother-in-law, Vera Colón; and nephew, Logan Boarman.
